The ZZ-R1100 was released in 1990, another technological milestone of Kawasaki’s liquid-cooled side cam chain engine that had evolved over several generations like GPZ1000RX and ZX-10 since its striking debut in the 1984s GPZ900R. It was the very first commercial motorcycle to be equipped with a RAM air system. Its staggering maximum speed of 290 km/h made it the fastest production bike for six years. Besides the still impressive top speed, the ZZ-R1100 offers more, surprisingly light handling, no one might expect from such an impressive chassis, well-balanced cornering performance and docile low-rpm engine characteristics gave it a faithful fanbase all over the world.
Enticed by this flagship-like uniqueness we here at BITO R&D began the development of the ZZ-R1100 JB-POWER special machine. Exclusive 79mm JB Cosworth forged aluminium pistons combined with a potent FCR 41mm carburetor massively increase the already impressive engine output and durable JB 6 POT calipers with cast iron brake discs provide excellent control and sufficient brake-power, to tame the mighty beast.
The ZZ-R1100 well-engineered front suspension just needed a little tweaking to accustom the improved engine characteristics and ultra-light MAGTAN wheels additionally enhanced handling and maneuverability. The JB-POWER ZZ-R1100 is a motorcycle that shines in various situations, from relaxed touring to challenging sports riding – the embodiment of a true flagship model.
