The GPZ900R NINJA was released in 1984 aiming for the pinnacle of the super-sports class, carrying on the Kawasaki proud heritage as “The Next Z”. Equipped with Kawasaki’s outstanding, first-generation liquid-cooled, side-cam chain four-cylinder engine, the machine has left a technological footprint that continues till the present. However, in changing to 18-inch forged magnesium wheels, BITO R&D managed to achieve a neutral, easy to control handling. A bore-up piston kit and special porting gave a significant boost to the already impressive engine performance and retiring the separate handle in favor of a handlebar, a new rear set as well as a revised seat shape, all of which create an optimized riding position.
